Outdoor life is my profession and passion

My outdoor passion started with skiing which took me from the fells in Northern Finland to the mountains, first in the Alps and then in North-America. Nowadays my favourite skiing terrain is in Northern Scandinavia.

Over the years I became a Ski Guide (Association of Canadian Mountain Guides) and an avalanche practitioner (Canadian Avalanche Association). In Canada, I worked as a ski guide at Backcountry and Cat Ski Lodge.

I also worked for years in North America at the National Outdoor Leadership School as a teacher on long winter and summer hikes as well as horse and sailing courses. Those years gave me a strong foundation to work as a lecturer in adventure education at the Humak University of Applied Sciences.

Presently, I share my time between avalanche education, guiding and teaching.

This all has been a lifestyle choice. And I’m happy I have had the courage to follow my heart.
